When an 80 mm ball is the right choice
An 80 mm ball has almost three times the volume of a 58 mm ball, so a pit needs far fewer of them — about 63 balls per cubic foot instead of 163. Bigger balls also sit higher, look fuller and are easier for staff to spot and collect.

Is 80 mm the same as a 3 inch ball pit ball?
Close: 80 mm is 3.15 inches, slightly larger than a 3" (76 mm) ball, and is the common "jumbo" commercial size.
How many 80 mm balls do I need for my pit?
About 63 balls per cubic foot of fill. A 10 × 8 ft pit filled 18" deep (120 cu ft) needs roughly 7,700 balls, so the 10,000-ball minimum also leaves replacement stock.
Which colors are available in 80 mm?
